The Challenge: Coca-Cola approached Mediatronica to create a whimsical, interactive user experience to promote their Open Happiness campaign using the animated Coke Creatures and the music of Calvin Harris.
The Solution: Using our Shuffles remixer, we created a promotional website where the user can create their own song to accompany the musical beat designed by Calvin Harris. Additionally, the site provided ringtones, screensavers, Coke Creature widgets for downloading, and the ability to watch the TV spot. Facebook.com was utilized to generate interest from the target demographic and the site was hyper-promoted through hundreds of referral sites.
The Results: Online engagement reached outstanding levels and the success of the campaign peaked internationally. The TV commercial received more than one million views, with more than five million page impressions and the facebook page generated over 2,000 fans.
